fsu looked like poop monday, the o-line looked like a bunch of nancy boys. i won't say anything about the defense because i believe clemson's rbacks could make any defense look bad but wtf is up w/ the offense?
granted i only had 3 quarters saved on my dvr and i started feeling the momentum shift to fsu at the end of the 3rd, but i doubt it would have changed my overall opinion.
let the comments roll...

The first half could possibly be the worst first half of FSU football I have ever seen. I didn't even think the O-Line was on the field...Weatherford had no time to do anything.
On a positive note, the half-time adjustments were amazing. We really came out a completely different team. Even though we came out to such a slow start, I was impressed and relieved with our progress. To play that bad and still have a shot to actually win was really quite amazing...except for the last series of course.
Anyway, I hate to start the season off with a loss, but I have to remember this is a long-term solution to a big problem, so to expect us to look grat right away is pretty unrealistic.
A young team, new system and playing on the road in Death Valley. I dont know when the old man is going to wake up and realize playing tough games as your first game is STUPID.
I would agree with every comment Leighton said. Our next two games should be W's, then we have Bama. So after the Bama game I will start to actually judge if this team as it in them or not. I am worried about our O-Line though. We have had some subpar recruits the last couple of years. But I will let trickett work his magic before I judge.
PS I think we need an overhaul at WR, our two main guys Fagg and Carr sucked ass. Parker and Goodman looked real good. Antone Smith is the real deal as well. I will never be worried about our D, except we did miss a bunch of tackles. But I am hoping it was just that those to RB's they had are that good.
When I was on Vaca in NC about a month ago I drove around the Appalachian State campus. Quite nice, the town of Boone pretty much centers around the school. That game was unreal.
did anyone else catch kirk herbshit trying to defend michigan saying how they shouldn't drop out of the rankings just because of that game. i want to beat the ever-loving shit out of that adulterer.
and what's w/ WV being in the top 5? i was hoping w/ our softer schedule this year that we would get the "pity-votes" that WV always seemed to get but i guess theirs is still much softer then ours :).
Nick is correct and forgot to mention this...our two "stud" WR were no where to be found! And when we did actually find them, Fagg kept dropping balls! That was frustrating as hell.
I do have a prediction for all of you though. By the time Nov 24th rolls around, we will great. Great enough that we will beat UF in the swamp. Write that down kids, you heard it here first.
Oh Bryan, you're funny. Thanks, I needed a laugh, haha.
FSU did look pretty bad. Not sure I am convinced that improvement is on the way. However, I guess I shouldn't say too much Auburn's offense looked pretty bad in their first game.
On the other hand, Auburn and FSU should get credit for playing BCS conference teams and struggling in the game, instead of blowing out a Division IAA team like WKU for example. ;) (By the way, that last statement is not entirely directed at UF. Michigan and the Big Ten are a laughing stock.)
All things considered, the season just started and things can change.
But I am just overjoyed that College Football has started again!
By the way, thank you Jae for posting about college football! I was starting to get worried.
Alex, WKU is in Division IA. In fact, unlike Auburn, who plays Division IAA Tennessee Tech, Florida doesnt't play any team in Division IAA.
Rebut ;)
I am deeply ashamed to point out that Rory is in fact correct. I was unaware of WKU's storied history in Division IA...ummm what a tick...they don't have any history. They entered Division IA this year! However, I must concede to Rory and UF's foresight to schedule such a quality opponent for their season opener. The Gators have once again silenced all critics and removed all doubt for this season by showing pure domination over an amazingly talented Hilltopper squad. Bravo, bravo!
When Auburn plays Tennessee Tech, I shall bow my head in shame while Rory can once again annoint the Gators supreme with a win over Florida Atlantic and the numerous Heisman hopefuls on their roster.
By the way, thank god college football is back. What else could we all have endless, pointless arguments about? :)
Just pointing out the facts, hahaha.
I would like to remind you that Colgate defeated FAU during its road to the D1-AA championship game. And Colgate had to play on the road and they had no scholarship athletes. Alas, we lost to Delaware 44-3 or something like that.
