Skype
Has anybody used Skype yet its great super simple even Nick could figure it out in a few minutes. The quality of the video is only limited by the quality of the camera on your computer, so mac users will enjoy streak free live video with a great audio dubbing.

We tried using it when i was in Japan, but the latency was too large talking to a land-line from a computer half-way across the world. Apart from that I haven't used it. One of my co-workers uses it to talk to his parents back in Illinois.
I used to use it all the time to talk to my sister in Vegas. I haven't been using it in a while but the video and audio are really pretty good. It is definitely worth it if you have friends/family far away.
