Updates, and going down in a shower of beads

I went to Lake Charles this weekend, and let me just say that place is sweet. All gods creatures taste better deep fried and coated in Cajun Spices. I found a new Apartment near the casino, slash my job. I then decided to check out this Mardi Gras thing. Mardi Gras is sweet I love hurricanes from Pat O'Briens, I dislike getting hit in the head with beads after said hurricanes. Cristina agrees with me on this point. I am having a going away party on Friday the 23rd of Feb at my place in Tampa. Anyone who needs to travel feel free to crash at my place. I will have punch and pie, more people will come if you have punch and pie.

Hurricanes are awesome, but you have to get a hand grenade. They are the best! New Orleans is a great town for sure. Glad you had a good time.

My initial reaction to adam's post. He is happy about hurricane katrina that racist bastard. Wait he suggests hand grenades are a better form to kill the black people in NO. THen i stop reading and put thought into which would be more fun. Then i feel bad for thinking that continue reading and realize he was talking about drinks the entire time. Anyway sounds like a awesome time Josh. I am sure you will have a blast in a town made for fun.

PS Your southpark reference did not go unnoticed

Anybody thats been to New Orleans: I just had a sandwich called a Mufaletta (sp). Consisted of Ham, Salami and a cured olive spread on some extremely thick bread. I had it at the AIG caf but i was talking to the head chef and he said it originated in New Orleans and he pretty much copied the recipe. It was straight up one of the better sandwiches I have had. He said there was a large contingent of Italians where it started but it is not from Italy. Basically josh if you can eat one. And if anybody else ever has the chance to consume this thing get on it.

Yo Nick, they have that sandwich at Po'Boys! Maybe if you ever branched out and got something other than a buffalo chicken po'boy you would have known.

But the buffalo chicken po'boy is so good. I may have to get two sandwiches next time I dine there. Rory have you had it there before???

PS Dont ever critize me in public again.

When Jenny and I visited NO, we had an awesome Muffaletta at the Central Grocery Co. (recommended by the one-and-only Rachel Ray). This store boasts the "home of the original muffaletta" award. Definitely hit them up if you ever get a chance.

I am now in my new place, and I have officially visited the super target and purchased lifes little necessities. Nothing beats a fried crawfish po'boy. I fly back to Tampa tomorrow for the going away party/Wedding. If the engineering falls through I can be a long haul trucker 3000 miles in 4 days.

That is good stuff Jae. Im just glad to hear that what the chef told me was accurate. I think I have a good excuse to go to NO now. Plus josh is close by...eh a distant second.
