Back to the Bay
As of 5pm tomorrow I will be returning to Tampa permanently. I have learned that they have magic hat on draft in said area and the oppurtunity is too good to pass up.

Chris Weinke living in Bradenton
You always knew Chris Weinke would be back in football. It's been 10 years since he led the 'Noles to a perfect season, going wire to wire for Bobby Bowden's second national championship. The former Heisman Trophy winner was in the NFL from 2001-2007 playing for both the Carolina Panthers and San Francisco 49ers. And after a few years in the business world, Weinke is back in the game as the Director of the IMG/Madden Football Academy in Bradenton, Florida. "This offers me the opportunity under the tutelage of Coach Madden and alongside long time NFL and college coaches to gain coaching experience and work with some of the best minds in the game," said Weinke. As the director of the academy, Weinke will coach, hire staff for camps, and work closely with John Madden to build curriculum for the students.
We may have to take a trip to IMG boys to see if we can chat with the Weinkster...pretty awesome.

Death by a thousand cuts
I see that we are all speechless about the healthcare "reform" that was passed on Sunday or as I like to call it, America's death by a thousand cuts. Constitutionality aside, these guys are so clueless as to what the American people want it's insane. The representative from our district got the front-door of her office smashed in from people angry about her support for the bill. Now obviously I don't condone vandalism but that just shows the level of anger from the people she is supposed to represent.
The next thing they plan to shove down our throats is financial regulation reform. This from the lame-duck senator from CT who if you just look at his picture screams career-politician. Why can't he just retire and leave us alone instead of saddling us with more regulation and another consumer protection agency to protect us from the big bad businessman. We already have a consumer protection agency, it's called the internet. Freedom of information=consumer protection.
These incumbents are ripe for the picking. All of them. The dems are obviously off their rockers but the republicans are no better. They are so obviously removed from reality it is sickening. We need congressional seats to be unpaid positions again, or term limits, or something. This has gotten way out of hand.

Battlefield Bad Company 2
Eric stumbled across this one and I'm totally on board with it. Sucks that there isn't any coop but the multiplayer and single player seem awesome. Who else is up for getting this?

Hey Been A While... Beer
Hey guys how are you? It's been awhile... Hope you guys are all doing great! Looking through the old posts I just noticed some of you, or Eric at least, are into craft beer! Just wondering if this is catching on wherever you are. Finally seeing real beer being served in more places in Miami. Also, Eric, have you tried brewing anything else since the pale ale in December? Just wondering, we're interested in trying down here in Miami and would be curious about any advice you have to offer. Happy brewing!
NCAA Tournament Challege
Join up ladies and gents and let's have some fun. It seems pretty wide open this year as there is not a completely dominate team. Certainly teams like Kentucky and Kansas look solid, but definitely beatable. FSU will make it for the second straight year this year probably a 8-10 seed so hopefully just winning ONE game will be good. Will UF miss it for the third straight year??? We shall find out in about 2 hours it is a fun time of year so sign up and let's pick some winners.
Prediction: I will beat Rory in this challenge...the game within the game.

[L] Possible Federal Ban on Fishing
Well, this could be another step in Obama's plan. Does he just want more control or does he just hate America?
Maybe this issue is being overblown, but it sure seems like Obama is trying to take American rights and hand the control to the feds at an exponential rate.

[L] Soldier throws back grenade
This guy is brave beyond measure. Definitely deserves to be honored.

[L] Clackamas man exercises free speech rights by giving cops the finger
Homeboy has some big brass ones. I've always known it wasn't against the law, but never had the guts to test it.
"I did it because I have the right to do it," Ekas said. "We all have that right, and we all need to test it. Otherwise we'll lose it."
Love it.

Seeing as beal's sad post has brought the blog to a screeching halt, I figured a more light-hearted post might get things moving again.
