I'm sure you have heard it already, but GM and Chrysler are back for more.
Here's a money saving idea... GMC = Chevy, why the redundant lines? All I want is the chance to buy a Volt damnit, why does GM have to be such a shitty company. Maybe the Japs will come out with something even cooler.
The automakers will keep coming back to the tit that is the federal government until they auto companies are owned by the Treasury Department. The unions are being the real bitches in this whole thing. Many foreign automakers are doing fine in the US because they have non-union workers. If the auto-workers union just backed off a little I think the companies could be competitive again. But since the current employees are paid a ton, but their take home is so low because the retirement package for former employees is absolutely ridiculous. Oh well, we are on our way to the Government owning everything, hooray for Socialism (I am starting now so the Thought Police will not be able to kill me for these posts in 10 years)
Well if the stupid environmentalists wouldn't force the auto makers to have equal numbers of gas guzzling and gas saving cars, we would also probably be better off. Think of how much money Chevy wastes on that shitty Aveo when they should just be building trucks... and a Volt for Jae.
Mitsubishi rules. Until they go bankrupt and my 10 year warranty is voided.
I think unions are great... if you're in one j/k. I agree that they are a huge part of the problem. GM has lacked real foresight, though, considering that when they were flushed with cash they decided to buy Hummer instead of researching more fuel efficient technologies.
Either way these companies are dinosaurs. They really need to change their entire business plan and I do not mean by limiting the pay they can give executives. That is only going to have an adverse effect on the quality of people that will want to have the job.

I would prefer to buy American products, because I think I should support the USA and its economy.
By the way, Drew is right on with the unions destroying the US automakers. Foreign companies do not have to deal with the unions.
Unions create unemployment and I am pretty sure everyone knows which politicians receive money from the union lobbyists.
I guess the Thought Police just put me on their hit list.
