In the spirit of Jae's network wiring post, I thought I'd show you guys a wiring project that I just finished. I just got a new receiver (Onkyo TX-SR606), and wanted to pre-wire the room for 7.1 surround before I bought the surround speakers to make sure it could be done. Now that it's done, I plan to get 2 pairs of in-ceiling speakers for the surround and surround-back speakers.

congrats eric on a job well done. it's a satisfying feeling, isn't it?
might i just add that your attic looks downright spatious compared to mine! what's the next project?
I assure you it's not spacious at the edge of the roof where the speakers will be going! Although in the middle of the house I could just about stand up in there. The next project is the ressurection of the arcade cabinet project, hopefully done by the new year!
Good job definitely, looks very impressive. Can't wait to hear what comes out of it. By the way I called you a bunch of times but it went straight to vm... same for Christina... am I just not taking the hint or something? ;)
Eric, you are married now. Just tell the wife after she is done mowing the lawn and fixing you a sandwich she needs to go up in the attic and run the wires.......I hope Carla doesn't read this
You realize what this means? We are all growing up, well at least some of us. People are married, engaged, or own homes.
Have no fear, I have no desire to grow up anytime soon. I might buy a condo at the beginning of the year but I will still drink with reckless abandonment. Except at my brother's wedding, there I will be a perfect gentleman...
