Anyone heard Metallica's new album, Death Magnetic? I didn't even know it came out, but came across it in iTunes today. It turns out it's #1 on the Billboard rock albums chart, and it is freaking awesome! At least Adam, Bryan, and Alex should give this a listen, I'm not sure if anyone else is a fan. This album is the anti-St. Anger, getting much closer to the sound of Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets.

Yeah, I knew it was out but was afraid of it. Now that I have an opinion of someone I trust...I'll have to check it out!
i haven't given metallica a second thought ever since the napster fiasco, fuck them.
...plus their songs are too hard on rock band :)
I have the cd, it is pretty good. I am trying to scam free tickets to the show in DC in January.
You also should listen to the new AC/DC album Black Ice. Very classic ACDC.
I am definitely a fan of the new album. The songs sound a little too much the same for it to be an amazing album but it is definitely enjoyable. I hate them after the napster crap too so I made sure to go out of my way to download it illegally.
