Is anyone planning on getting the hardened edition? All future updates are included along with some other perks. It's worth it if we're not going to abandon map packs again like we did with black ops.
i think we are onto something with playing only the old maps. i'm all for getting the new maps though since it would probably make us better in the long run. like alex, i reserve the right to complain about this game while still playing it all the time.
Well that is why I'm asking. The hardened edition adds $40 to the price. You get all map packs and a year subscription to the COD Elite web service. Since they charge $15 per map pack and I've read there's going to be 9 monthly map packs... you do the math.
I will get the edition if you guys do too. I don't want to spend the extra money, then we puss-out and play all the old maps. My vote is for the hardened. Let me know!

I plan to treat this game like the last one....complain that it is not very good, that I am going to trade it in, and then play it all the time.
I am open to the idea of new maps but I thought we had better luck playing the old ones.

turns out jared already pre-ordered a copy for me. not clear yet which flavor i will be getting but i will post it to the blog as soon as i find out.
