[L] Cool new musical instrument
The Eigenharp Alpha and Pico. The first video is an extensive feature demo of the Alpha, the second is a quick look at the Pico, and the third is a group demo. What do you guys think? A legit instrument or something to toss into the 'what were they thinking' pile?

granted i have absolutely no musical ability, but i don't see the point of this instrument.
it seems like it is trying to have everything and the kitchen sink in a portable unit. the thing is, the more the instrument does for you, the less interesting it is to watch you play. that seems to detract from the need for this to be a portable "rock out at a concert" kind of instrument.
from an engineering standpoint it seems like a fun project to work on as it seems to include cool hardware sensors and obviously a lot of software. but i am afraid this project suffers from some major feature creep.
as a side note, that old guy really needs to cut his nails, gross!
