Very Disturbing

Cleveland Browns receiver Dante Stallworth was sentenced to 30 days in jail and reached a undisclosed financial settlement with the victims family. In case you are wondering why he is going to jail that would be his DUI.....oh did I mention he hit and killed a pedestrian. Now yes the pedestrian was jay walking and it was dark, so I guess that could have posed some issues. However, 30 days for killing somebody!!!! Also, it has to be obvious the victims family had a lot to say with this, as they are not going to file a lawsuit.

Anyway, I wonder if he will be allowed to play this year in the NFL...if he does I hope he wins the Browns a Super bowl!!

Follow up: He also got 2 years house arrest and 8 years probation and a lifetime driving license ban. So I guess it is not as light as I originally thought but still.

Nope it is still a really light sentence. The lifetime ban of driving sucks, but I am can almost guarantee he will be driving soon enough because that is pretty difficult to enforce unless he gets pulled over. Although he should have had a driver when he was drunk. It is fairly obvious that the victim's family only cared about what they could get out of it, so I am sure the settlement was big and as a condition the DA would give a favorable plea. Sometimes America is pretty ridiculous.
