Dude, that is going to be so cool! Do the 3 and 4 players have less controller buttons than 1 and 2? Was there a reason that you put 3/4 as a diamond shape button pattern as opposed to the square pattern for 1/2? Just trying to be critical for discussion's sake. I don't see why either of those would hinder game-play, but I was just putting it out there. I think it looks awesome and can't wait to get down there and give it a whirl!!

looks great eric. i noticed the same things as adam. i would think you would want the same number and pattern of buttons for all players. the trackball is a great idea, do they have native support for that in the emulators (i assume they must) or do you have to write something for that.

how about some cup-holders? better yet, chilled cup-holders built in to the panel!

the reason players 3 and 4 have 4 buttons is the fact that there is no such thing as a 4 player game that requires more than 4 buttons per player, as far as I know anyway. Players 1 and 2 have their layout because it will match the very common 6 button fighting game layout (street fighter style) and also match the neo-geo 4 button layout (bottom row of buttons). As for cup holders, it's definitely possible that some will be mounted to the side of the cabinet.

That is the sickest thing I have ever seen. Now you just need to start making them for all of us, think Christmas Presents.

Chilled cup holders would be beyond awesome! You should strap some guns to the side for some buck hunter or house of the dead action.
