Netflix + Live = Awesome

Press Release

To summarize, starting in the fall Xbox Live Gold members who are also Netflix members will be able to watch their "Watch Instantly" queue on their tv through Xbox Live.

Something else they touched upon is being able to sync across multiple accounts to watch movies with friends. Hard to say how useful that will be, but I could see giving it a shot.

I was seriously considering getting a Roku, but now I'm glad I waited.

I recently re-joined Netflix and I was considering the Roku as well. I have since read an article that the PS3 will be getting the same capabilities you speak of later this year. Netflix will sell the install disk for something like $3. Since $3 << $100, I decided to wait.

Sounds like I need to become a member of Netflix, and Eric needs to get an Xbox.

Sorry Alex, but I'm enjoying the endless supply of blu-ray that netflix has to offer for no additional cost. My gaming needs are more than satisfied by the PS3 and Wii.

Any chance they might come out with one of these for the Wii?? I guess I'll be stuck sitting in my chair by my desktop watching my instant movies.
