American Gladiators

If you missed the premier last night, they will be on there regularly scheduled time slot tonight as well. It was awesome to say the least, it still has some of the cheeziness that we all grew to love. The male gladiators are man beasts, and in my opinion the best event is Pyriamid. There is something great in seeing this 5'7" 155 pound guy go against a guy named Mayhem who is 6'6" 260 and has some of the best dreads I have ever seen. You could not pay for better TV.

And I found myself pretty attracted to the female gladiators which scares me just a little. For the most part they are pretty hot. Crush is a female gladiator and she is just straight hot, by far my new favorite TV girl. It is also fun to see how many times the Hulkster can say the word brother in a sentence. Last night I believe he used it as a noun, pronoun, verb and ad-verb...it was amazing.

I meant to catch it last night and forgot. I think it is on tonight as well, so I will try again.

I caught half of it last night and agree with Rory. Also, the female gladiators seem to be chosen more on looks this go-around and less on brute animal strength. Tonight, they are conflicting w/ the game so we are taping it for later. I can't believe how right-out-of-the-80s the gladiator's outfits are. I don't think they changed a thing, it's great.

I must agree with Nick that Crush is pretty fly. The male gladiators are also pretty amusing but the Eliminator is not as daunting as previous, no penalty box with Gladiators, no throwing of "boulders" a bit upsetting. Hulk and Ali are not nearly as good as the old announcers, but they are good.

Jae, I am not 100% sure if I agree with you. Helga or Hilda would make any man flaccid and Crush, aka Gina Carano, is an MMA fighter with her specialty as Muay Thai. She is one of the top ranked female MMA fighters. I am pretty much terrified of any female who could put me in a rear naked choke.

Drew I dont know what a rear naked choke hold is, but if it is done by crush sign me up. Yea I am a bit skeptical about a few of the female gladiators, but they could probably all kick my ass which is good enough for me.

The new Assault is a little dissapointing to me, and I have to disagree with you on the Eliminator Drew. These people seem damn near exhaustion when they finish, although the lack of gladiator participation in it is bothersome.

Still I agree with the Emmy Nomination!!

I just have to say that Wolf is the scariest looking man I have ever seen. If I had to go up against him and his psycho death stare I'd be peeing myself.

Psyched the show is back though, it brought back good times. And the new assault is pretty BA if they actually hit the bullseye b/c the gladiator gets launched like a slingshot about 30 feet backwards into the water. Hilarious.

I think the show is pretty badass...definitely scripted (on both ends)...but entertaining nonetheless. Nick, I call second on that naked choke hold thing...Crush is a hottie fo sho!

Yeah I hate the scripting. Any time someone is asked a question, they give the appropriate response like, "yeah I'm stoked to kick some butt!" but then they keep talking! No one cares about who you are and your dumb kids or lousy job or charity, just kick some ass. Also, there is way too much waxing of eyebrows going on with those gladiators, and I'm not talking about the female ones.
