I'm not in front of my computer enough to use AIM anymore, but my name is still emoose77. I'd rather get an email or a call, either one comes to my phone. As for the work side, we definitely do not allow anyone to use a public messenger service. We use a jabber client and run our own messaging server.
IM still an integral part to the Legislative process in DC. Every office has a generic one for quick communication. I have it, but I tend to use G-Chat more than AIM, but Fasoli312 is up usually.
