Bowl Games
So what are everyone's thoughts about this years bowl games? UF v OSU should be interesting. FSU v Notre Dame could also be a fun match up, especially because I think the Noles D-line might kill a ND QB. Auburn v UVA, no thoughts on this one because I cannot fathom UVA being in a bowl game. I am completely disgusted by the Sugar Bowl's decision to select VA Tech and Michigan. 2 undeserving teams but they will sell a bunch of tickets and hotel rooms. This game might become the rallying cry for a change in the BCS, the at-large system is completely FUBAR.

Well I don't want to even discuss the BCS selections because most are bullshit in my opinion, but I will say 2 things. Va Tech is in no way shape or form deserving of that game. Bama v LSU again?? If Bama wins what does that solve?? NOTHING. Only the computers put Ok State #2 every human pole had Bama #2, so whatever that is what people think.
I actually really like our matchup with ND should be a fun game. You are rigth Drew the chances of us putting one of them out of commission is very high. FSU is a defensive team and they have a pretty good offense so it should be interesting.
UF v OSU is fun just for the fact that these 2 teams played each other 5 yrs ago for the title and now both barely made a bowl game. Throw in the Meyer factor and it should be a good one to watch.
Auburn v Virginia...well honestly pretty pissed FSU did not get selected for this game. Virginia is a solid team and can easily win this game. Since Virginia has not made a bowl game in lik 5 yrs maybe their fans will travel and make it a good atmosphere.
Anybody else want to boycot the national championship game??
i completely agree with nick about the title game. i am sure it will be a great game to watch (i will not be boycotting good football), but it's outcome proves absolutely nothing.
i'm hoping having meyer on the sidelines vs osu will be the motivating factor for our team to play with some passion. watching us this year has been physically painful for me and the one bright spot about this bowl game is that it marks the end of this year and i can start looking forward to next year's possibilities.
Looking forward to most of these games, but I agree that VA Tech is a flippin joke. I'm pretty pissed about missing out on the Chick Bowl too, especially since I'll be in ATL for NYE. But Virginia beat us so I guess it makes sense. I'm sure their fans will show up due to the rarity of this event.
I'm one of the few people that actually wants to see a rematch in the title game... just can't justify taking OK St after losing to Iowa St, and if LSU is really the best team then they shouldn't have a problem winning again. In reality, I think Bama lost the first game for themselves and will probably win this time. Understood that it makes it kind of a wash, but say the Steelers & Ravens play again in the playoffs and the Steelers win... that ends up being the only game that matters, even though Baltimore already beat them twice. Same idea here, as far as I'm concerned...
Jae Urban will not be on the sideline, but I am sure they will talk about him ad nauseum
he won't be coaching but i'm sure he'll be there
Maybe he will wear a shirt that is half OSU and half UF :)
